European Directive 2002/ 96 / CE

The European Directive WEEE defines the legal framework and the objectives for the recovery of waste from electrical and electronic equipment and entered into force on 13 February 2003.

One of the main objectives is to reduce the toxicity and the amount of waste and to promote reuse, recycling and valorization of the equipment.

This directive also concerns the air conditioning and refrigeration industry as they deal with small and big household appliances.
