European regulation 842/2006 - European directive 2006/40
Foreword

The European directive relating to fluoride gas and the directive relating to HFC emissions in automobile climate control systems dated May 17th, 2006 were published in the EU Official Journal on June 14th, 2006.
They confirm the various published projects, in particular:
- The containment of fixed refrigeration and climate control installations (Article 3 of the regulation).
- The prohibition over time of the use of HFCs with a GWP > 150 in automobile climate control systems (Article 5 of the directive).
The measures set out in the regulation apply from July 4th, 2007.
