Synthetic oils
Polymers of specific chemical monomers like esters. The first synthetic oils were developed for HCFCs (AB and PAO). With HFCs, new types of oils appeared, due to the non-miscibility of mineral oils with HFCs.

Synthetic lubricants which contain only polyalphaolefin (PAO ) type hydrocarbons.
Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH 68 is a fully synthetic lubricant, specifically designed to lubricate refrigeration compressors using ammonia. Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH68 is formulated from wax free, synthesized hydrocarbons polyalphaolefin (PAO) and synthetic Alkylbenzene base oils, which have demonstrated outstanding resistance to thermal/oxidative degradation.
Mobil EAL Arctic Polyol Ester oils are a range lubricants designed for refrigeration systems which work with HFC refrigerants but can also be used with HCFCs.
Mobil Zerice S Oils are premium quality synthetic refrigeration compressor lubricants. Based on alkyl benzenes, which due to their nature, have superior miscibility with hydrochlorofluorocarbon (R22), as well as chlorofluorocarbon refrigerants (R 502 and R 12: possibly used on some old refrigerating plants). This allows them to be used in very low temperature applications, down to -60C.
